Clips:

We are living in some of the most uncertain times in the history of our nation. We are certainly not at the level of uncertainty of the 1930's in which many people took their own lives because of their inability to handle the economic struggles. Many people jumped out of windows in major cities willing to face eternity, rather than to face an uncertain future.

Ladies and gentlemen can you identify (with the video)? All of us struggle with extending mercy in such times. I remember once when one of my children was hurt deeply by someone else. The last thing I wanted to do was extend mercy to this person. But it was the first thing Jesus wanted me to do. Without exception, everyone here has experienced those moments when you were faced with a choice of either extending mercy or not extending mercy. Now I admit that in myself I do not want to extend mercy. However, I realize that Jesus wants me to handle life issues in a different way. Notice Matthew 5:7 as it appears on keynote: "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.":: Video Synopsis ::
We wanted to open the series with a video that would depict characters in a world that was very normal and under their control or so they thought. The success of the first video created a demand for another so we developed a second video. My wife (who was very pregnant at time) and myself starred in these clips.
One Thing I Do - aired December 28, 2008

:: Sermon Introduction ::
As we come to the last Sunday in December I believe it would be of benefit to consider how we can be successful with the important things of life. Let's be honest there are many things that seem like they are important but at the end of the day we often find ourselves saying, "I didn't do anything of significance today." If we do not have a plan in place in our lives we will spend most of our lives if not all of our lives with failure and frustration.
:: Video Synopsis ::
A small clip that has boy who wants to work on a project with his father. He is seen with a set of plans, and all the pieces for the project. But the video needed to end with the young boy sitting there dejected. The little boy speaks, "I finally though dad and I could do something together." note - I also added a small special ending to this piece which we played later in the service.
Series:
Mythbusters - aired Nov-Dec 2007
- This sermon series was obviously spoofing the highly-acclaimed show from the Discovery Channel - Mythbusters

:: Sermon Introduction ::
So many things in the Christian world we claim as truth, but some things are myths. We need to look through the myths and understand only truth. Time to bust some myths!
:: Video synopsis ::
Each week, we had a new myth to bust. Coincidentally, the show Mythbusters was running a "Spoofing Campaign" and had stock video that was allowed to be downloaded from their site. You can see this video incorporated through all five weeks.
We also began a small story line on the Character playing "Grant" always being the guinea pig of the experiments. This ended with the characters having a confrontation and Grant who could not take the pressure anymore running away. A chase scene ends with the actors bursting through the sanctuary door and running on stage. Finally a captured Grant is carried off stage with the other actors telling the audience, "Merry Christmas!" note: - This was early in the filming department so the audio/video were still being refined.

1-800-GOT-JUNK

:: Sermon Introduction ::
This series is about coming to the place of discernment and experience of the Christ life. Paul identifies this as the liberated life. I am convinced, from personal experience, that most believers never experience the joy of a totally liberated Christian life. You ask why? Notice the title of our series. The believer is inundated with so much junk that he or she cannot experience the Christ life as God intends.
:: Video Synopsis ::
This was a drama series developed at the beginning of 2008. It follows the Shockley family, Harold and Susan with their teenage daughter, Samantha, and all the JUNK they each face in their lives. This series was originally designed to end horribly with Harold and Susan separating and Samantha signing up for an appointment at Planned Parenthood. The very next Sunday scheduled was Easter where a special "Unknown" Episode 8 would be aired. Unfortunately, due to many different problems, some noticed in Episodes 1-7, some not, the secret episode never aired and the film is slated as lost. I hope to retrieve it someday and finish it. In Episode 8, you are finally given the happy ending that was so desperately needed.

:: Video Synopsis ::

This series was meant to depict a marriage in crisis. Unfortunately, it never aired and I never had the opportunity to film past Episode #2. If this series had ever been finalized, it would have been the best the team I had developed had ever produced.
